We are delighted to share that Nakshat Thakkar, a talented 5th-semester student of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Nirma University, has been selected among only 60 students across India to participate in the prestigious Invent X Innovation Program at IIT Jammu.
Held over six weeks between May–July 2025, Invent X brought together some of the brightest young innovators from leading institutions across the country. During this intensive program, Nakshat collaborated with:
Aditya Agarwal (BITS Pilani)
Manashri Vashistha (Amity University, Greater Noida)
Together, they conceptualized and developed an Assistive CPR Device aimed at enhancing real-time emergency response and life-saving interventions.
The team’s innovation has been submitted for provisional patent filing in both India and the United States, underlining their commitment to creating scalable, impactful solutions in the healthcare domain.
At the culmination of the program, a national-level innovation competition was organized, featuring all participating teams. We are immensely proud to announce that Nakshat and his team secured 3rd Place, earning national recognition for their creativity, technical insight, and social impact.
Nakshat’s achievement exemplifies the innovation-driven, problem-solving mindset that we actively nurture at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. It also underscores the interdisciplinary potential of engineering in addressing real-world challenges.
