The Mechanical Engineering Students’ Association (MESA), Institute of Technology, Nirma University, successfully organized Technocalypse 2026 on 22–23 August 2026 at Nirma University.
Designed especially for school students, the two-day event aimed to introduce young minds to the fascinating world of engineering, innovation, and technology through experiential learning.
✨ more than 90 students from 8 different schools participated enthusiastically in the event.
During the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Rajesh Patel, Director General, Nirma University, encouraged the participants and appreciated their enthusiasm for updating themselves with new technologies through the workshops, and Dr. K.M. Patel, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, motivated the students to actively explore emerging technologies and develop a spirit of curiosity and innovation.
The first day featured three exciting hands-on workshops:
🔹 CAD Workshop – Exploring the fundamentals of computer-aided design and digital modeling.
🔹 Drone Workshop – Understanding drone technology, components, working principles, and applications.
🔹 Robotics Workshop – Discovering the fundamentals of robotics and automation through practical activities.
Special appreciation goes to the undergraduate students of Mechanical Engineering, Nirma University, who conducted the workshops and guided the participants throughout the activities. Their enthusiasm, technical knowledge, and mentorship made the learning experience engaging and enjoyable.
🏆 The second day featured three technical competitions, where the participants enthusiastically demonstrated their creativity, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and technical skills.
Technocalypse 2026 was more than just an event—it was an opportunity to learn by doing, explore engineering, collaborate, compete, and get inspired.
