Mr. Vivek Patel, an alumni of Mechanical Engineering Department, Institute of Technology (batch 2000-2004) is working as Assistant Professor in Welding Technology at University West, Sweden.
His key research area is Friction stir welding and processing (FSW/P) for high strength Al and Mg alloys. He is familiar with High end characterizations and analysis like high temperature tensile deformation (superplastic behavior), EBSD, TEM, wear etc. He has published more than 30 SCI papers and 6 book chapters on FSW/P including one Critical Review on FSP. He is serving as a reviewer in more than 25 SCI journals.
