The School of Engineering at Nirma University, in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), organized a prestigious standard writing competition on April 30, 2024. Held on the university campus, the event aimed to increase awareness and understanding of standards among engineering students. It was structured into two sessions, and participants were challenged to research and create their own standards on specific topics, encouraging them to delve into the intricacies of standard development. The competition was conducted in groups, fostering collaborative efforts and knowledge sharing. Upon rigorous evaluation, the top-performing groups were recognized and awarded prizes, acknowledging their exceptional contributions to the field of standardization.
