The National Level Robot Making Competition—ROBOFEST, organized by the Gujarat Council for Science and Technology (GUJCOST) since 2019, has been a platform for young innovators to showcase groundbreaking robotic solutions.
This year, ITNU teams delivered a stellar performance, excelling across all stages of the competition!
✅ 14 teams cleared Stage 1, earning ₹50,000 each.
✅ 13 teams advanced to the Grand Finale, securing ₹2,00,000 each.
✅ 3 teams emerged as winners, collectively earning ₹20,00,000 in prizes!

🥇 1st Prize (₹10 Lakh): Underwater Robot “Maverick 1.0”
A team of five students—Ananya Kapadia, Soham Patel, Swayam Satbhai, Parv Raval, and Rhythm Patel from Nirma Robotech Club, mentored by Dr. Mihir Chauhan from Mechanical Engg Dept, Nirma University—developed Maverick 1.0, a hybrid underwater vehicle. This state-of-the-art robot operates both manually (via remote control) and autonomously underwater, powered by eight thrusters for seamless movement in all directions.

It successfully scanned and decoded multiple barcodes at the bottom of a swimming pool in record time!
