Team Arrow from Nirma University took part in the Aerothon Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Drone Design, Build, and Fly Challenge 2022. The event was organized by SAE India and held on November 18 and 19, 2022.
The competition was divided into two phases.
In the first phase, out of 51 teams, 20 were filtered out based on their design, and in phase two, they have to build the drone and complete the mission requirements, followed by technical presentations, technical inspections, and flight rounds.
The team cleared phase one among the top 20 teams across the country. In phase 2, a team of 10 members has represented the university at the S J C Institute of Technology in Chikballapur, Karnataka. The team bagged the award for the “best manual flight mission” with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 by having the most accurate payload drop at target.
